  2. 2 Prepare garnish of lemon peel (whole).

History

Whiskey and ginger with added shrub.

A Horse's Neck without the addition of whiskey, or "kick," is essentially just ginger ale and bitters. This was how the drink was initially served, with the "Kick" component being introduced around 1910.
