History
Ample dilution is key to this caraway and Scotch cocktail, appealing to Kummel fans.
This drink is adapted from a recipe by Arthur Tarling, first published in his brother William James "Billy" Tarling's 1937 book, Café Royal Bar Book. Titled "HIGH KICK", it was invented by A. A. Tarling and consists of 1/2 Whisky, 1/4 Kummel, 1/4 French Vermouth, and a Good dash of Absinthe. The instructions are to mix.
