3/4 oz Swedish Punsch
1/2 oz Lime juice
1/6 oz Grenadine syrup
3 drop Margarita Bitters
2 drop Saline solution 4:1

How to make

Serve in a nick & nora glass

Prepare

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill a NICK & NORA GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of pineapple wedge skewered with a Luxardo Maraschino Cherry.

  1. 3 SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  2. 4 FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

  1. 5 Garnish with pineapple wedge on rim skewered with cherry.

History

Swedish punch adds funk to this grenadine-sweetened, gin sour.

This "Have a Heart" cocktail is adapted from Patrick Gavin Duffy's 1934 Official Mixer's Manual. The original recipe calls for: "Have a Heart" Cocktail ½ Jigger Cederlund's Swedish Punch 1 Jigger Dry Gin 2 Dashes Grenadine Syrup Juice of ½ Lime Duffy instructs to "Shake well with fine ice, strain and serve with Pineapple wedge on edge and Cherry atop Pineapple." The drink is to be served in "glass number 4."
