History

Reminiscent of a Savoy Aviation with orange juice, served frappé. Suited to hot summer evenings. Bring them on!

This drink is based on a recipe found in Ted Saucier's 1951 book, Bottoms Up. Misha Borr, Maestro at The Waldorf-Astoria in New York City, created the GYPSY SERENADE with the following ingredients: 1 jigger dry gin ½ jigger maraschino cordial Dash orange juice Dash lemon juice The preparation involves mixing these components and serving them frappéed in a champagne glass.
