History

The name refers to the absinthe in this unusual combination. An absinthe rinse subtly enhances the Rosy Deacon, adding interest.

Created in 2009 by Jim Meehan at PDT in New York City, USA, this cocktail is a variation on the Rosy Deacon found in Stanley M. Jones' 1977 book, Jones' Complete Barguide.
