History

Funky rum and zesty citrus are tamed and refreshed when served over ice chippings.

The GOLDEN GLOVE, found on the 1934 menu of Bar La Florida Cocktails, is an adaptation from a recipe by Constante Ribalaïgua Vert. His celebrated establishment, now known as El Floridita, is located in Havana, Cuba. The original recipe calls for: 2 Ounces Jamaica Rum. 1 Teaspoon Cointreau. 1 Teaspoon Sugar. The Juice of ½ Lemon. Crushed Ice. Shake in electrical shaker. Serve frappe after squeezing into it an orange peel.
