History
Grapefruit freshness and subtle bitterness suggest this is a brunch cocktail.
Adapted from a recipe created in December 2021 at The Spirit in Milan, Italy. The name "FERT" is the motto of Italy's royal House of Savoy, and this cocktail was made using Savoia Americano Rosso. The acronym's original meaning, adopted as a motto in the late 1600s, is now lost to time, though many suggest it stands for Foedere et Religione Tenemur, which is Latin for 'treaty and religion bind us'.
