History

This dessert cocktail evokes dulce de leche, as the name implies.

Valentino Longo, the founder of Vice Versa Cocktail Bar in Miami, Florida, created this recipe in 2025. Dulce de leche, which is often misspelled as "di lecce," is a Spanish term that translates to "sweet of milk" or "candy made of milk." It refers to a sweet, caramel-like cream sauce originating from South America, made by heating and sweetening milk.
