History
Renamed 'Swedish Daiquiri', this drink has potential. Aged rum (a substitute for the original Jamaican rum) is blended with tart Swedish Punch and lime juice. The cocktail benefits from dilution; a splash of water or serving it on the rocks is recommended.
The recipe for "Doctor Cocktail" is adapted from Lucius Beebe's 1946 book, The Stock Club Bar Book. It contains 1½ oz. Swedish punch, the juice of half a lime, and ¾ oz. Jamaica rum. It is to be shaken and served in a 3 oz. cocktail glass.
