Ingredients

1 1/2 oz Bourbon whiskey
1 1/2 oz Red quinquina e.g. Dubonnet, Byrrh
1/6 oz Triple sec
1 dash Aromatic bitters

How to make

Serve in a coupe glass

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare lemon and orange zest for garnish.

  1. 3 STIR all ingredients with ice.
  2. 4 FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

  1. 5 Express lemon and orange zest twists over the cocktail and use as garnish.

A harmonious blend of spirit, liqueur, and aromatic wine creates this complex Manhattan variation.

This cocktail recipe has been adapted from Harry Craddock's 1930 book, *The Savoy Cocktail Book*. "DANDY COCKTAIL. ½ Rye or Canadian Club Whisky. ½ Dubonnet. 1 Dash Angostura Bitters. 3 Dashes Cointreau. 1 Piece Lemon Peel. 1 Piece Orange Peel. Shake well and strain into cocktail glass."
