History

When made with Bacardi Carta Blanca (as originally intended), this delicate and slightly sweet cocktail has complex notes of blue cheese with faintly salty sherry and dry herbal vermouth. It is arguably the best cocktail created.

While considering a name for the drink, the music playing concluded, and one of the musicians exclaimed, "Damn it, Jimmy," to his bandmates, praising the song. The cocktail was subsequently named after this exclamation, though the artist and album details were not recorded at the time. Until December 2024, the preceding paragraph concluded with the question, "Do you know it?" This changed when fellow Discerning Drinker Toby James commented, "Found it..." and provided a link to The Album Leaf's track "Another Day (Revised)." The studio dialogue from the recording is as follows: "Damnit Jimmy, that was some Something you did really smart Yeah So funny. Try one more time, just one, after this, just one" This provides the explanation for the drink's name, for which thanks are extended to Toby.
