History

Rhum and rum choice and strength greatly affect this balanced, delicious cocktail; a lightly aged Cuban rum is fitting with Martinique rhum.

This drink is adapted from the Italicus Daiquiri created by Julio Cabrera at his Cafe La Trova in Miami, USA. Julio's son, Andy Cabrera, prepared his father's Daiquiri for the writer after the Art of Italius Aperitivo Challenge in May 2024, with the Colosseum in Rome as the backdrop.
