History
When first sampled, the consensus for this notorious cocktail was, "I quite like it," given its striking blue hue. It was even better when presented with a smile from Jacob Briars, who would announce in his deep voice, "I believe you ordered a blue drink."
Jacob Briars created this drink in 2007 in Queenstown, New Zealand. Its genesis coincided with the start of a Facebook group named "A Jihad on all Blue Drinks." This cocktail was Briars' response to that group. He "blued' the most popular bartenders' drink" of that era, the Corpse Reviver No.2.
