3/4 oz Rosso/sweet vermouth
1/4 oz Maraschino liqueur
1/24 oz Absinthe
2 dash Orange bitters

Serve in a coupe glass

  2. 2 Prepare garnish of Luxardo Maraschino Cherry.

This Martinez offers pleasant aniseed notes from the absinthe.

This classic cocktail first appeared in the 1933 publication Pioneers of Mixing at Elite Bars. J. E. Clapham, of Clapham Cocktails, brought this drink to wider attention and refreshed its standing.
