Ingredients

1 2/3 oz Gin
1/2 oz Chartreuse Yellow
1/2 oz Pink grapefruit juice
1/4 oz Lemon juice
1/6 oz Sugar syrup 'rich' (2:1)

How to make

Serve in a coupe glass

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of grapefruit zest twist.

  1. 3 SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  2. 4 FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

  1. 5 EXPRESS grapefruit zest twist over cocktail and use as garnish.

This recipe takes its inspiration from a drink found in Thomas Mario's 1971 publication, Playboy's Bar Guide. CLOISTER 1½ ozs. gin ½ oz. grapefruit juice ¼ oz. lemon juice ¼ oz. yellow Chartreuse Shake well with ice. Strain into prechilled cocktail glass. This particular beverage is described as an invigorating option, ideally suited for consumption during an autumn sundown.
