History

A Cherry Bourbon Sour enlivened with sparkling wine.

Jonny Raglin created this drink in 2011 at his Comstock Saloon in San Francisco, California. The name, Cherry Bounce, originally referred to a homemade liqueur made with sour cherries, sugar, and spices. Recipes for Cherry Bounce date back to late 17th-century England. Although the liqueur is no longer common in England, it was brought to the British colonies and remains popular in America, especially in North Carolina, where an annual Cherry Bounce Festival is held each June.
