Gin with citrus and apricot, balanced by subtle quinine bitterness.
Harry Craddock's 1930 The Savoy Cocktail Book includes a recipe adapted for this drink. Craddock's original version used two ingredients no longer available: Kina Lillet, a quinquina, and Pricota, an apricot liqueur produced in Britain. CHARLIE LINDBERGH COCKTAIL. 2 Dashes Orange Juice. 2 Dashes Pricota. ½ Kina Lillet. ½ Plymouth Gin. Shake well and strain into cocktail glass. Squeeze lemon peel on top.
