History
A riff on the Cameron's Kick, using tequila instead of Irish whiskey and mezcal instead of Scotch.
This recipe was adapted from a 2019 creation by drinks writer and raconteur Robert Simonson in Brooklyn, New York City. It is named for the 1863 battle between the Mexican army and the French Foreign Legion. Robert's original recipe consists of: 30ml (1oz) tequila, 30ml (1oz) mezcal, 22.5ml (¾oz) lemon juice, 15ml (½oz) orgeat syrup.
