Ingredients
1/12 oz Absinthe
1 2/3 oz Calvados apple brandy
1/2 oz Rye whiskey 50% abv
1/3 oz Sugar syrup 'rich' (2:1)
3 dash Creole bitters
1 dash Aromatic bitters
How to make
Serve in a old-fashioned glass
Prepare
- 1 Select and pre-chill an OLD-FASHIONED GLASS.
- 2 Prepare garnish of lemon zest twist and lemon zest knot.
Method
- 3 POUR absinthe into chilled glass and roll glass so as to coat the inside with absinthe.
- 4 Discard excess and set glass aside.
- 5 STIR other ingredients with ice.
- 6 STRAIN into absinthe-rinsed glass.
Garnish
- 7 Express lime zest twist over cocktail and discard.
- 8 Garnish with a lemon zest knot.
