3/4 oz Rosso/sweet vermouth
1/6 oz Maraschino liqueur
2 dash Orange bitters

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of orange zest twist.

  1. 3 STIR all ingredients with ice.
  2. 4 FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

  1. 5 EXPRESS orange zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

This recipe is adapted from Albert Stevens Crockett's 1931 book, Old Waldorf Bar Days. J. E. Clapham of Clapham Cocktails brought this revitalized classic to attention. Clapham's version uses 60ml (2oz) Plymouth Gin.
