History

The choice of coffee liqueur significantly affects the dryness/sweetness of this Brave Bull. Reposado or añejo tequila harmonize better with coffee than blanco tequila.

The Brave Bull is believed to have originated in the 1970s, following the success of the Black Russian. This recipe was adapted from the 1977 edition of Jones' Complete Barguide by Stanley M. Jones.
