Ingredients

1 1/2 oz Aged rum (6-10yr)
1/2 oz OP high ester aged pot still rum
1/2 oz Pedro Ximénez sherry
2 dash Aromatic bitters
2 dash Orange bitters

How to make

Serve in a old-fashioned glass

Prepare

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill an OLD-FASHIONED GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of orange zest twist.

Method

  1. 3 STIR all ingredients with ice.
  2. 4 STRAIN into ice-filled glass (preferably over a large cube or chunk of block ice).

Garnish

  1. 5 EXPRESS flamed orange zest twist over cocktail, then use as garnish.

This recipe is adapted from a cocktail created in 2015 by Damon Boelte at Grand Army in Brooklyn, New York, USA. Damon's original recipe specified El Dorado 12 year old Demerara rum and Smith & Cross Jamaican rum.
