History

Rum character is prominent in this spirited and fruity Daiquiri variation.

This recipe is from G. F. Steele's 1934 book, My New Cocktail Book. While Steele warned against deviation, the author has slightly adjusted the specified percentages and ingredients for improved flavor. 'BILL' CHANDLER COCKTAIL 42% Bacardi Rum 30% Lemon juice 12% Jamaica Rum 10% Cointreau 6% Grenadine According to the book, this is one of the finest cocktail recipes if prepared precisely. However, strict adherence to the recipe is crucial for a successful outcome.
