History

Banana liqueur and brandy combine well, toned with sherry and bitters.

This is an adaptation of a recipe from W. J. Tarling's 1937 Café Royal Cocktail Book, which attributes the creation to E. Angerosa. BANANA BLISS Invented by E. Angerosa ½ Banana Liqueur, Bols. ½ Courvosier Brandy XXX Shake. Caitlin Laman at the Ace Hotel in Chicago, USA, introduced oloroso sherry to the classic equal parts recipe of brandy and banana liqueur.
