History
Equal parts gin, calvados, apricot brandy, and orange juice create a pleasing combination.
This vintage cocktail is featured in Charles H. Baker's 1939 book, An Exotic Drinking Book or Around The World With Jigger, Beaker and Flask. Baker attributes its origin to Sloppy Joe's in Havana, noting it predates the establishment becoming a popular stop for Americans. The cocktail appeared on Sloppy Joe's menus sometime after 1932.
