Ingredients

1/4 oz Chartreuse Green
1 1/2 oz Cognac (brandy)
3/4 oz Walnut liqueur
1/2 oz Tawny port

How to make

Serve in a snifter/brandy balloon glass

Prepare

  1. 1 Select a SNIFTER/BRANDY BALLOON GLASS.
  2. 2 No garnish to prepare.

Method

  1. 3 POUR liqueur into pre-warmed glass then tilting and rotating to coat the inside with the liqueur.
  2. 4 DISCARD excess liqueur.
  3. 5 Carefully IGNITE liqueur inside the glass and allow to burn for a few seconds before extinguishing flame by placing a saucer over the glass.
  4. 6 Add other ingredients.

Garnish

  1. 7 Serve without garnish but tell drinker to beware of hot glass rim.

A fabulous cocktail, especially using VEP Chartreuse, reserve cognac, and 20-year-old tawny port as per the original.
